Course Description
This course is designed to allow students with good food preparation skills the opportunity to share their knowledge with students who need one-on-one assistance to succeed in the foods lab. The course will allow the student instructors the opportunity to work with special education students to help them select and prepare nutritious meals and snacks. Special education students will have the opportunity to work in a truly inclusive environment. In addition to working with their peers, the student instructors may be responsible for leading the class in one project of personal choice. This course is an excellent choice for those students considering a career in education or working with the special needs population. |
